In this research to improve the networks performance a cross layer based routing using forwarding node selection (CRNS) is proposed . The CRNS protocol tries to maintain suitable neighbor forwarders of network nodes to ensure good connectivity and control the routing overhead . The basic idea is based on the received signal quality of the packet at a receiver that is typically measured in the PHY layer
