Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Pharmacy - Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry Summary: The present investigation deals with the synthesis of some pyrazole and pyrazolone derivatives to be screened for their anti-inflammatory and analgesic activities as well as ulcerogenic liability hoping to obtain anti-inflammatory and analgesic agents with high potency and lower side effects. Furthermore, in-vitro evaluation of COX-1/COX-2 selectivity of the most active anti-inflammatory candidates was applied. 2D-QSAR study was also made to correlate between the structures and their biological activity

The present investigation deals with the synthesis of some pyrazole and pyrazolone derivatives to be screened for their anti-inflammatory and analgesic activities as well as ulcerogenic liability hoping to obtain anti-inflammatory and analgesic agents with high potency and lower side effects.
