The present study investigates whether Bernard Lewis as a representative of Neo-orientalism and John Esposito as a representative of post-orientalism maintain or break the stereotype of the Muslim terrorist in their writings about Islam and terrorism. The study also explores how both writers communicate their attitude towards this stereotype to their readers
