Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Institute of African Research and Studies - Department of Natural Resources Summary: The current work describes the antimicrobial evaluation as well as structure-activity relationship of some 1,{u0277}-bis/ (carboxylic acids), (esters), thus, the latter compounds were tested (in vitro) for their antimicrobial activity against two Gram-positive bacterial strains (Bacillus subtilis and Staphylococcus aureus), two Gram-positive bacterial strains (Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli) one yeast strain (Candida albicans) and three mould strains(Aspergillus fumigatus, penicillium italicum and syncephalastrum racemosum)
