Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Biochemistry Summary: Objective : This work has been carried out to evaluate the role of ascorbic acid catalase total antioxidant capacity aldolase and pyruvate kinase in patients suffering from type 1 diabetes mellitus and group of type 1 diabetic patients accompanied with nephropathy . Conclusion : The results of the present study indicate that the antioxidants and enzymes can be used to follow up in patients sufering from type 1 DM and predict other complications
