The present thesis deals with the preparation of 50/50 (wt/wt. %) PEO/PVA blend system doped with nano-Zn0 (system A) and nano-Ti0₂ (system B) separately. Structural, optical and thermal studies were performed using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR), ultra violet- Visible spectra (UV-vis), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) and Thermogravimetric Analysis TGA
