It has been claimed that the imbalances in levels of free radicals, reactive oxygen species and antioxidants in saliva play an important role in the onset and development of dental caries. Objectives: To study the correlation between children's total antioxidant capacity of saliva and caries experience. Methods: Total antioxdant capacity of saliva was investigated in 60 healthy children aged 8-10 years where dental examination was carried out in accordance with the recommendation of the world health organization
