Geological control and evaluation of the pressure zones of the miocene sequences in North Ras Budran field, gulf of suez, Egypt / Wael Ibrahim Amin Elsherbeny ; Supervised Mohamed Darwish , Mohamed Elkammar , Abdelazim Elsayed

By: Contributor(s): Material type: TextTextLanguage: English Publication details: Cairo : Wael Ibrahim Amin Elsherbeny , 2013Description: 169 P. : charts , maps ; 25cmOther title:
  • التحكم الجيولوجى وتقييم نطق الضغط العالى فى تتابعات رواسب الميوسين فى شمال حقل راس بدران خليج السويس مصر [Added title page title]
Subject(s): Online resources: Available additional physical forms:
  • Issued also as CD
Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science- Department of Geology Summary: In the present study the results of estimating pore pressure using eaton method in North ras budran (A platform) showed extreme readings (abnormal pore pressure) of pore pressure through Kareem and Rudeis formations of miocene Age. The abnormal pore pressure is dominantly high in the selected 10 wells. Lettle differences in pore pressure readings might reflect facies changes, tectonic settings or changing in geothermal gradient that might affect diagenetic levels
