Thirty percent of diabetic polyneuropathic patients (DPN) suffer from balance deficits. Unsteadines during standing and walking is a frequent complaint of patients with polyneuropathy. The aim of this study was to evaluate proprioception and vestibular function in patients with DPN and to determine factors that may influence balance in such patients with diabetic polyneuropathy other than proprioception loss
