The state of the art in optimum pit limit algorithms was concluded as a result to detailed survey on the optimum pit limit algorithms. Asuggested two dimensional optimum pit limit heuristic algorithms - one three / one two 13/12 - has been presented . The methodology of 13/12 and its search pattern were illustrated in deep to show how 13/12 is a successful trial to maximize the net value
