CVD is also frequent in kidney transplant recipients. This study included 2 groups of patients (25 each) who had been on regular haemodialysis for a period of 12-18 months. Kidney transplantation was done for patients of the 2nd group. Comparison between both groups regarding carotid intima media thickness and the cardiac profile between both groups was done at the start and after 1 year
