The thesis aims: 1 to monitor the urban changes from eighties to millennium using remote sensing; 2. to determine the urban areas affected by flash floods hazards, for the aforementioned three study cities; in addition 3. to estimate the soil loss using RUSLE and to produce the soil erosion risk map of Safaga using the integration between remote sensing and GIS
