Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Veterinary Medicine - Department of Veterinary Pharmacology Summary: This study was conducted to investigate some pharmacological and toxicological effects of jojoba oil (JO). In addition, to phytochemical screening of jojoba seeds ethanol extract. Acute toxicity study revealed that oral administrated of the jojoba oil up to 70g/kg b.wt. induced no toxic symptoms or mortalities in the mice. J.O showed concentration dependent inhibitory effect on both rabbit's intestinal motility and rat's uterine motility in vitro
