Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine- Department of Endodontics Summary: The present study aimed to evaluate the effect of agitation on Maleic acid and EDTA as a final flush on smear layer removal and antimicrobial activity by the aid of scanning electron microscope and direct count of colony forming units (CFUs). A total of 100 freshly extracted teeth with single root were selected for the study. the root canals were instrumented and enlarged by rolart proTaper system in a crown down manner
