Solanaceae in Egypt is represented by eight wild genera among them genus solanum which represented by 9 species. S. elaeagnifolium Cav. was introduced to Egypt and reported to the first time in 1930, as rare naturalized plant at El-Arish area. Now, it spreads westward to Burg Elarab- Alexandria and southward to Fayoum as invasive weed in the cultivated land
