Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Pharmacy - Department of Pharmaceutics Summary: A valid HPLC stability- indicating assay for determination of Irbesartan was developed. The compatibility of irbesartan with tested excipients namely; Avical PH 101, PVP K10, kxplotab, Ac-Di-Sol, pregelatinized starch and lactose monohydrate was investigated using DSC and IR. The tested excipients used were found comptible with irbesartan. Twenty three tablet blends were prepared and evaluated for bulk density, Hausner's ratio, Carr's index and flowability
