Cadmium (Cd) has been recognized as one of the most toxic environmental pollutants. The major sources of Cd intake are foods of plant origin, sea food and tobacco. Supplementation of antioxidant is one of the important components of an effective treatement of Cd poisoning. The adminisration of ascorbic acid or selenium have protective effect on Cd-induced oxidative stress
