This thesis documents a novel comparison to evaluate the performance of two stationary - frame controllers designed to regulate the output current of a single - phase grid - connected photovoltaic (PV) inverter. The components of a residential two - stage grid - tied PV system are modeled and studied in this work. The investigated PV system is connected to the grid using a single - phase current - controlled dc - ac inverter
