Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Pharmacy - Department of Analytical Chemistry Summary: This work is concerned with the quantitative determination of some drugs acting locally for the treatment of some dermal and ophthalmic diseases, namely, brimonidine tartrate, timolol maleate, tazarotene, retinoic acid, hydroquinone, betamethasone, clotrimazole, clioquinol, tolnaftate and benzalkonium chloride in their pure powder from in laboratory prepared mixtures and in their dosage form without interference from the excipients such as benzy1 alcohol and chlorometacresol that are commonly used as preservatives in topical formulations
