Solid lipid nanoparticles technology represents a promising new approach for lipophilic drug delivery. Solid lipid nanoparticles were introduced at the beginning of 1990s as an alternative to emulsions and liposomes in cosmetic and pharmaceutical preparations. The objective of present study was to develop solid lipid nanoparticle containing metoclopramide by a novel method using high shear homogenization (hot homogenization) technique then incorporating them into suppository for treatment of nausea and vomiting
