Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Geophysics Summary: Reservoir heterogencity is always a main problem in complex turbiditic channel sand reservoirs. This study aims to utilize the pre - stack seismic data over Saffron gas field, deep marine, offshore Nile Delta, Egypt, to capture the reservoir heterogencity and improve the representation of the true reservoir facies distribution within the study area. An integrated workflow has been accomplished to emphasize the importance of using the rock physics analysis and the pre - stack simultaneous inversion for detailed reservoir characterization and reservoir monitoring data resulted in locating the best quality and thicker gas sand as well as delineation of gas water contact (GWC) as well as the author has enabled to capture the reservoir heterogeneity
