Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Agriculture - Department of Economic Entomology and Pesticides Summary: This study was carried out in the apiary of the agriculture experimental station, Faculty of Agriculture, Cairo University under the environmental conditions of Giza region throughout year 2011. To study the effect of certain honeybee colony treatments on some oriental hornets' activities. The highest total number of hornets (10577.7 individuals / colony/week) was noticed during the 2nd week of October. While, the lowest total number (1348.3 individuals /colony/week) was occurred during the 1st week of September. Maximum mean number of attacking hornet trails 4.9 / colony / 2 min. was recorded at 8:00 AM
