Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine - Department of Oral Surgery Summary: This study was designed to compare between immediate and delayed implant in diabetic patient type 2, twelve patient were selected with controlled diabetes type 2 to receive two implant one immediate after extraction and another after at least six month of extraction, post operatives cone beam was requested and after three, six , night and twelve month , cone beam result was show significant increase in bone loss in all period of immediate group rather than delayed group and bone density was show significant increase in immediate group rather than delayed group, final conclusion proved that diabetes is not contraindicated for implant if well controlled and delayed implant was preferred
