Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Physical Therapy - Department of Physical Therapy for Surgery Summary: Purpose: to evaluate the efficacy of the polarized light versus laser therapy on chronic ulcerations of lower limb. Methods of evaluation (ulcer perimeter, ulcer surface area and ulcer volume measurement). Results:- The result showed that both BLT and LLLI had nearly equivalent fruitful effects on ischaemic chronic ulcerations and limited or incipient skin necrosis due to obliterative atherosclerosis affecting the lower limbs as evidenced by the highly significant decreases in UP, USA and UVM.
