Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Biochemistry Summary: The current study aimed to investigate the relationship between circulating osteoprotegerin level, endogenous estrogen and bone density in postmenopausal women. Serum estradiol levels were significantly decreased in postmenopausal women as shown by the current study. Osteoprotegerin on the other hand was significantly increased. This study reveal a positive correlation of osteoprotegerin with body mass index of fore arm in postmenopausal women.Conduction of more studies are recommended

The current study aimed to investigate the relationship between circulating osteoprotegerin level, endogenous estrogen and bone density in postmenopausal women. Serum estradiol levels were significantly decreased in postmenopausal women as shown by the current study. Osteoprotegerin on the other hand was significantly increased.
