Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Medicine - Department of Dermatology and Venerology Summary: The fifth edition of (WHO) semen analysis manual provides the lower reference limits of semen parameters. Several studies to assess the semen parameters among fertile men were conducted across the world and many studies have indicated geographical differences in semen quality. Until now Egyptian semen reference is not yet settled. The aim of this study is to determine the semen parameters of proven fertile males in Egypt. A total of 200 fertile men, whose wives were pregnant or delivered within one year at the time of semen collection, provided a semen sample each after sexual abstinence for 3 to 5 days and analyzed by computer assisted semen analysis (CASA)
