Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Agriculture - Department of Ornamental Horticulture Summary: Cut foliage production has been rapidly increased in recent years and has played an important role in the national income. This study was conducted during two seasons (2009 / 2010 and 2010 / 2011) to investigate the effect of various pulsing and holding solutions treatments on keeping quality and extending the longevity of, asparagus densiflorus (Kunth) Jessop, Strelitzia reginae Aiton and Nephrolepis exaltata (L.) Schott cut leaves. The pulsing treatments were; distilled water (DW) as control and benzyladenine (BA) at the rate of 2 or 5ppm for 24h. After the pulsing the cut leaves were subjected to the following treatments; under room temperature and stored in cold storage at 5{u00B0}C or 13{u00B0}C for 15 days
