Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine - Department of Operative Dentistry Summary: This study evaluated the effect of casein phosphopeptide {u2013} amorphous calcium phosphate (CPP - ACP) either applied combined with or under glass ionomer on shear bond strength of nano ionomers, highly viscous glass ionomer and resin modified glass ionomer restoratives to dentine. 90 sound human premolars were divided into three groups: 30 teeth each, according to treatment protocol either without application of casein phosphopeptide - amorphous calcium phosphate (CPP - ACP) (as a control group), CPP - ACP applied before application of glass ionomer and CPP - ACP combined with the glass ionomer. Each group was subdivided into three subgroups, 10 teeth each, according to type of glass ionomer either nano ionomer, highly viscous glass ionomer or resin modified glass ionomer was used
