Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Agriculture - Department of Agronomy Summary: Two lentil cultivars (Sinai 1 and Giza 370), three wavelengths of diode laser (IR, VIS and UV) and six exposure periods were investigated to explore the direct (on M1 plants) and indirect (on M2 plants) influences of lasers on growth, yield and seed contents of protein and amino acids. The M1 plants were evaluated in one field and two pot experiments in the Faculty of Agriculture, Cairo University during 2011 / 2012. The two plastic pots trials used peat moss and clay mixtures. The peat - vermiculite (1 : 1) and sand- clay (1 : 1) mixtures were considered as soil - borne disease free and infected one, respectively. The M2 progenies of 20 selected individuals were evaluated along to check, under pot in 2012 / 2013 season. The M2 bulk populations represented all laser x exposure periods combinations of each cultivar (except G.370 with those descended from 4 IR periods) were evaluated also, under field conditions during 2012 / 2013 season
