This thesis aims to establish a model contains the factors affecting the technology transfer effectiveness and their effect on the technology transfer effectiveness in the Egyptian pharmaceutical industry. The thesis also demonstrates which of these factors highly affects the technology transfer effectiveness. In addition, it aims to encourage the local pharmaceutical companies to attract more under-license agreements. Added to these, the thesis aims to demonstrate the role of leadership style in the technology transfer process and its effect on its effectiveness. The research population is the pharmaceutical manufacturing companies having under-license agreements in Egypt which are nineteen companies. Only ten of them accepted to participate. These companies are El Amyria company , EIPICO , EL Nile company , EL Arabia , Alexandria , MUP , Sedico , EMIC , El Kahira , Hikma pharma. The research sample included all the managers and senior specialists concerned with the technology transfer in the ten participated companies. 800 managers and senior specialists responded
