Furthermore we highlighted the available management strategies for painful bone tumors whether medical, radiotherapy or surgical. The role of interventional radiology in the management of bone tumors was elaborated with a special focus on cementoplasty indications, techniques and complications. Twenty patients with 25 painful malignant lesions were treated using cementoplasty for the purpose of alleviating their pain. The study showed that patients clearly benefited from this technique in alleviating pain whether in spinal or extraspinal lesions with minimal complication rates comparable to internationally published similar studies. The main factors of success are proper patient selection, operator experience and proper guidance method employment
