This piece of research aims at exploring factors that are affecting the decision to select and adopt a specific analytical approach for opportunity recognition and identification. This will eventually lead to opportunity exploitation as well as the possibility of achieving entrepreneurial success. Prior work: Opportunity recognition has been defined as the fundamental entrepreneurial activity perceiving the possibility of generating new profit potential through (1) the creation of new ventures (2) adding significant improvements to an existing venture. Researchers considered different approaches to opportunity recognition (Kyrö et al., 2011; De Jong & Marsili, 2011). Certain personality traits as well as prior knowledge and social networks have been recognized as factors playing an important role in the opportunity recognition process. However, each opportunity recognition approach has its carved weaknesses that can{u2018}t be cured neither by the entrepreneur{u2018}s personality nor the features of the environmental structure. It may be suggested that a combination of certain factors may lead to the adoption of one opportunity recognition approach and not another
