Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Engineering - Department of Mechanical Design and Production Summary: The main objective of this thesis was to evaluate the effect of various weight percentages of CNTs on the tribological and rheological properties of lithium grease. CNTs with an average diameter size 10 nm and 5 om in length were synthesized by electric arc discharge and could be well dispersed in lithium grease. The results show that the grease with CNTs exhibit good performance in anti - wear, friction reduction, load carrying capacity and extreme pressure properties with only 1% wt. CNTs. The rheological behaviors were evaluated with a Brookfield. The results indicate increases stress and apparent viscosity
