The goal of oncoplastic procedures is to resect the breast cancer with negative histologic margins and to preserve the contour of the breast. There are two different approaches. Volume replacement procedures, which combine resection with immediate reconstruction of the defect by using autologous tissue flaps, and volume displacement procedures, which combine resection with a variety of different breast reduction and reshaping techniques, according to the location of the tumor
