Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Pharmacy - Department of Analytical Chemistry Summary: Three simple, selective and accurate analytical methods are used for the determination of some antimigraine drugs in bulk powder and in their pharmaceutical preparations and for simultaneous determination of paracetamol and metoclopramide in their binary mixtures and in their pharmaceutical preparation. The first method is spectophotometry using charge transfer reaction between sumatriptan and zolmitriptan as electron donors and DDQ, TCNQ and TCNE as electron acceptors and measuring absorbance at nmax 459, 843 and 415, respectively. The second method is TLC for the determination of eletriptan, sumatriptan and zolmitriptan in bulk powder and in pharmaceutical preparations using chloroform: ethylacetate: methanol: ammonium hydroxide (72 : 10 : 18 : 2, v/v/v/v) as mobile phase .

Three simple, selective and accurate analytical methods are used for the determination of some antimigraine drugs in bulk powder and in their pharmaceutical preparations and for simultaneous determination of paracetamol and metoclopramide in their binary mixtures and in their pharmaceutical preparation.
