Diabetic frozen shoulder in stage II associated with abnormal scapular motion compensation strategy for a limited glenohumeral motion due to capsular adhesions in the stiffness phase due to imbalance between upper and lower trapezius ratio, the upper trapezius tends to be more activated than the lower trapezius resulting in increased compressive loads on the tendons of the rotator cuff or long head of the biceps muscle and impingement syndrome. To investigate the efficacy of the facilitation of the lower fibers of the trapezius muscle using the muscle energy technique in form of concentric isotonic contraction on correction of the scapular dyskinesia and sequentially effect on pain, function and shoulder range of motion in patients with diabetic frozen shoulder. Fifteen subjects with diabetic frozen treated with traditional treatment (group A) and fifteen diabetic frozen shoulder treated with facilitation of lower fibers of trapezius plus the traditional treatment (group B) participated randomly in this study
