Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science- Department of Astronomy and Meteorology Summary: Sand storm is a major phenomena in the Arabic gulf region and causes a lot of problem to the air traffic controller and the pilot, the aim of this study is how to provide a weather forecast for all airlines and the air traffic controller to avoid any reduction in the diversion of air craft{u2019}s due to any sudden or unexpected change in weather. This study was mainly focused on four different International Airports in United Arab Emirates to examine and to compare with now cast observations. In this study high performance limited area model (WRF-ARW) and the product of the model were used to verify the accuracy and uncertainty was used such for the sake of comparison with real observation data.
