Thesis (M.A.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Arts - Department of English
The present study adopts a mixed method research design to analyze translation errors of the fourth - year EFL students of the Department of English Language and Literature, Faculty of Arts, Cairo University along two consecutive academic years 2011 / 2012 and 2012 / 2013 samples 1 and 2 (respectively). This can help to obtain evidence - based data that would hopefully improve translation teaching and testing later on. The study adopts the error analysis procedure while the learning process is still in progress. The data collection tools were students{u2019} marked, voluntarilysubmitted translated activities as well as the translation instructors{u2019} questionnaire. The translated texts were subjected to quantitative analysis whereas the questionnaires went through qualitative analysis
