Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Veterinary Medicine - Department of Microbiology Summary: Bacteriological examination of internal organs collected from dead poultry, faecal swabs from diarrheic birds and drag swabs revealed isolation of Salmonella with an incidence 3.4%, 1.3% and 6.1%, respectively. Eight out of 19 Salmonella isolates were negative by polyvalent H flagellar antigen indicate that it was belonged to non motile S. enterica serovar Gallinarum. It was include both S.enterica serovar Gallinarum biovar Gallinarum and S. enterica serovar Gallinarum biovar Pullorum
