This is across sectional descriptive study carried out on 300 street children attending the day centers in Cairo (five day care centers) and Elbasma outpatient clinic at center of social and preventive Medicine - Cairo University aiming to estimate prevalence of depression among street children attending the day care centers in Cairo and Elbasma outpatient clinic. The age of the children is below 18 years{u201A} number of children is 223 boys and 77 girls. The data was collected through questionnaire for assessment of risk factors and possible delinquencies associated with homelessness and patient health questionnaire (9). According to PHQ (9); the study revealed that 86% of studied street children were depressed. According to the severity of depression 17.7% of the children were severely depressed. 27.7% of street children were moderately depressed 19.6% were mildly depressed
