This work aims at studying two hundred and twelve Intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) plans and evaluating each of them under different conditions to study the effect of beam energy, number of beams, beams' orientations, and MLC width on the plan quality. Eighty three patients, suffering from different types of non CNS solid tumors, were chosen. All patients' details were anonymised. The cases were categorized into four groups to be replanned according to the factor under study. The CT scan data of those patients were transferred to the KonRad system. Clinical step-and-shoot IMRT treatment plans were designed for delivery on a siemens oncor accelerator with multi - leaf collimators MLCs (82 leafs). To ensure that the similarity or difference between the plans was due to the factor under study alone, the same optimization constraints were applied for each plan and all other parameters were kept constant
