Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Astronomy and Meteorology Summary: In this thesis, we applied surface photometry technique on nine pairs of interacting galaxies to study their morphology and photometric properties. Our purpose is to see the effect of interaction between galaxies on the symmetry of their morphologies and structures. Hence, for each pair isophotal contours, luminosity profile, position angle, centers of outer isophotes are presented. These observations obtained in both r- and i- band of SDSS magnitudes. Comments for each structural parameter are also reported
