Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Arts - Department of English
This dissertation intends to comparatively examine the affinities and dissonances of two major dramatists, each in his different context, namely the Arab Saadallah Wannus and the English David hare. It discusses the techniques and themes used by the two playwrights in rendering their political vision dramatically. Opposition to power, bellef in the role of theatre as a medium of changes and the profound diagnosis of the society's malaise are among the major issues between the two writers
