The goal of nursing education is to prepare students to think, communicate effectively, demonstrate caring behaviors and critically perform safe and effective nursing intervention in an ethical fashion. The clinical instructor plays a major role in the development of nursing graduates who are prepared to deliver safe and effective care. The study aimed at identifying the clinical instructor opinion about their role versus student's opinion about clinical instructor role at technical institutes of nursing Cairo University. A cross-sectional correlation design utilized to attain the aim of the present study. Convenient samples of 179 students and 26 clinical instructors in technical institutes of nursing were recruited in the study. Data was collected through two tools developed by the researcher: First tool: Interviewing questionnaire for students, second tool self report by the clinical instructor themselves about their role consist of two parts;1. the socio demographic data, 2.about the clinical instructor role from the students' opinion and clinical instructor opinion
