Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Pharmacy - Department of Biochemistry Summary: The objective of this study was undertaken to evaluate the protective and the therapeutic effect of Ginger extract either alone or in combination with Rosiglitazone and Glimepiride on serum Glucose, Triglycerides, Cholesterol ,AST, ALT, Þ-GT, as well as liver Malondialdehyde, Catalase (CAT), Superoxide Dismutase (SOD), reduced Glutathione (GSH) and lysosomal enzymes ; Acid phospahtase (ACP), Ý-D-galactosidase (Ý-GAL) and N-acetyl-Ý-D-glucosaminidase (Ý-NAG), in streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats.
