This is a descriptive study on cases of HUS among children hospitalized in the pediatric nephrology unit, Cairo University during the three -years period from Janurary2010 to December 2012. Those were 26 in number. Including 14 cases from them continue follow up in nephrology outpatient clinic for six months. The study summarizes the clinical and laboratory findings in patients as well as the treatment received and outcome with focusing on difference between typical and atypical HUS of the study cases. Our findings highlight the importance of HUS in the pediatric age group and calls attention to the importance of diagnosing HUS and of researching the etiological agent whenever possible, especially in cases of diarrhea. In addition, it emphasizes its manifestations, complications, and outcome. Permanent attention must be paid to this disease. Besides early diagnosis, supportive and specific therapy is necessary. That should be performed at a specialized center
