  • Issued also as CD
Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Organic Chemistry Summary: Chitosan and chitosan derivatives as carboxymethyl chitosan and chitosan {u2013}g- PAN was prepared and evaluated and provided their structures with all experimental tools such as FTIR and elemental analysis. CMCs used to prepare some bioactive materials such as nanoparticles and applying them to nonwoven substrates to study the additional benefits in wound healing and antimicrobial characteristics. Also Cs-g-PAN/Ag used to prepare and immobilize bioactive materials such as silver nanoparticles as a new type of powder nanocomposite examining it's antimicrobial activity in vitro and in vivo
