Aim of the study: The current study quantified the effect of different pH on the release of BPA monomer from three resin-based restorative materials (two pit and fissure sealant sealants and one flowable composite) and evaluation of the effect of the leached BPA monomer on the activation of estrogen receptors of both male and female mice. Furthermore the effect of these leached BPA on the reproductive systems of male and female mice (testis and ovary) was identified by histological examination of both tissues. Results: The results revealed that flowable composite showed higher BPA monomer release than both sealants. Higher values of BPA monomer release were observed for citric acid subgroup compared to artificial saliva along the first six days follow up period and no release of BPA monomer after day six for all the tested materials. Flowable composite showed higher values of estrogen receptor activation than both sealants. Higher values of estrogen receptor activation were observed for citric acid compared to artificial saliva storage medium Concerned with the gender, the female mice showed higher estrogen receptor activation levels than males
