Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Medicine - Department of Ophthalmology Summary: The aim of the present study is to evaluate the central perimeteric changes in proliferative diabetic retinopathy using visual field testing on the C 30 - 2 program of the Humphrey field analyser before and after panretinal photocoagulation (PRP) using argon laser treatment. Cases are followed up one month after (4 - 6 weeks), by clinical examination, flourescein angiogram, and perimetery. The study highlights the effect of laser on the visual acuity, field of vision, and also the effectiveness of of laser on the resolution of diabetic changes
