Is to determine the commonest form of elder abuse among the studied group and to find the relation between the socio-demographic characters of elders and their exposure to different type of elder abuse. This is a cross sectional descriptive study conducted on elders aged 60 + that attended family medicine clinics between May and July 2014 for any medical reasons and elder assessment instrument (EAI) is used which include indicators of different types of elder abuse and questions about socio - demographic characters and medical status of the elders is added to EAI, data was collected, revised and entered using a statistical package SPSS version 15. Elders exposed to neglect were 26.5%, those exposed to abandonment were 10%, exploitation represent 7% and those exposed to physical abuse where only 1.5%, there is no relation of socio - demographic characters and exposure to different types of elder abuse but deterioration of the medical condition of the elder is associated with increased exposure to elder neglect but has no relation to the exposure to the other types of elder abuse
